Brief description: Tilburg University proposes
scholarships for academic excellence for the 2016-2017 academic session. Candidates
of every nationality are appropriate to submit an application for this
scholarship. This is awarded to undertake (Research) Master’s program (MA,MSc
or LLM) program. University proposes a number of general and subject-specific
funding schemes. The aim of the scholarships is to attract the best and most aggravated
people to Netherlands.
Tilburg
University is a public research university specializing in the social and
behavioral sciences, economics, law, business sciences, theology and
humanities, located in Tilburg in the southern part of the Netherlands .For the
academic year 2016-2017 the Schools of Tilburg University have various
scholarships vacant for outstanding worldwide students.
Applicants
must be newly enrolled at Tilburg University and will require proving their
language proficiency before departure. For every language there is a minimum
CEFR level of proficiency that needs to be met.

awarded within the Tilburg Law School, Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral
Sciences, Tilburg School of Humanities and Tilburg School of Catholic Theology.

Eligibility: Tilburg Law Scholarship: Tilburg Law has
2 types of scholarships vacant for outstanding worldwide non-EEA students who
are admitted to a (Research) Master’s program at Tilburg Law School (TLS). The
TLS Global Scholarship is graduated from one of the listed universities. TLS
Montesquieu Scholarship is for Non-EU/EEA students who are admitted to the
prestigious LLM Research Master in Law.
-Tilburg
School of Social and Behavioral Sciences Scholarship and Tilburg School of
Humanities Scholarship: To succeed for a TSB Scholarship for Academic merit and
Tilburg School of Humanities Scholarship for Academic merit, you must fulfill
the following admission requirements, in addition to the regular requirements
for admission to a Master’s program:
-Applicants
must have been (unconditionally) admitted to one of the graduate programs at
Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences for the academic year
2016-2017
-Applicants
must have achieved outstanding study results in their relevant (under) graduate
program. As an indication, the student must have graduated with an average
result of at least 8 (out of 10) or must be among the top 10% of their class
-To
verify that you are an outstanding student you can send us a declaration from
your university saying that you belonged to the top 10% of your class or with
your average grade. This is not essential if your common grade is particular on
your transcript of records.

-TLS
Global Scholarship: For the academic year 2016-2017 Tilburg Law has the TLS
Global Scholarship presented for outstanding worldwide non-EEA students who are
admitted to a (Research) Master’s program at Tilburg Law School (TLS).
-Tilburg
School of Social and Behavioral Sciences Scholarship: For the academic year
2016-2017 Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 8
scholarships vacant for outstanding worldwide EU/EEA and non-EEA students who
are admitted to a (Research) Master’s program at Tilburg School of Social and
Behavioural Sciences (TSB).
-Tilburg
School of Humanities Scholarship: For the academic year 2016-2017 Tilburg
School of Humanities has a number of scholarships vacant for outstanding worldwide
EU/EEA and non-EEA students who are admitted to a (Research) Master’s program
at Tilburg School of Humanities (TSH).
-TST
Scholarship for Academic Merit: Tilburg School of Catholic Theology proposes
one TST Scholarship for Academic brilliance to an outstanding non-EU student.
The scholarship consists of a grant of € 5,000 to partially cover the student’s
living expenses. The application closing date for the TST Scholarship for
Academic merit is April 1. Please fill out the application form and upload it
in our online application method MySAS.

scholarships and Tilburg School of Catholic Theology offers one TST Scholarship
for Academic merit.

University Scholarships for Academic merit are awarded for one academic year.
What does it covers: TLS
Global Scholarship: The TLS Global Scholarship is a tuition
fee waiver of 25% for students who graduated from one of the universities
listed below. For the academic year 2016/2017 this means that students from
these listed universities pay a tuition fee of € 10,500 (instead of the normal
tuition fee of € 14,000).
-Tilburg School of Social and
Behavioral Sciences Scholarship: The TSB Scholarship
for Academic merit consists of a scholarship of € 5.000 to partially cover the
living expenses of the students during their stay here in Tilburg. Additional
to this, non-EEA scholarship students receive a partial tuition waiver (up to €
9.000 at a tuition fee of € 14.000,- / subject to change) .
-Tilburg School of Humanities
Scholarship: EU/EEA students-The TSH Scholarship for
Academic merit for EU/EEA students consists of a scholarship of € 5.000 to
partially cover the living expenses of the students during their stay here in
Tilburg. Non-EEA students-The TSH Scholarship for Academic merit for non-EEA
students consists of a partial tuition waiver. In 2015/2016 this was a waiver
of € 9.000, which left a tuition fee of € 4.000. The exact amounts for
2016/2017 will be published later this year.
-TST Scholarship for Academic
Excellence: The scholarship consists of a grant of
€ 5,000 to partially cover the student’s living expenses.
Selection Criteria:
On the basis of the following selection criteria, the selection committee will
select the recipients of the TSH Scholarship for Academic merit:
-The
academic results in the relevant (under)graduate program
-The
quality and content of the Scholarship Application Form
-The
language test score
-Extracurricular
activities
Notification: All TSB Scholarship
and THS Scholarship candidates will be informed about the outcome of the
scholarship selection committee by early May 2016.
How to Apply: Students do not need
to submit an application for TLS scholarship. All admitted students to the qualified
masters programme will receive the tuition fee waiver automatically. To submit
an application for Scholarship for Academic merit you should:
-Download
the Scholarship Application Form
-State
in the application form that you graduated with an average result of at least 8
(out of 10) in a relevant (under)graduate program, by providing your calculated
GPA and/or proof that you belong to the top 10% of your class
-Upload
the Scholarship Application Form in our Online Application System MYSAS,
together with your application for the Master’s program before the Scholarship closing
date
