Brief description:  The Global Undergraduate Scholarships were recognized by the University of Melbourne in identification of the considerable donation made by global students to the diversity of the University’s student population.

 Host Institution(s): University of Melbourne, Australia.

Field of study: Every undergraduate degree presented at the University of Melbourne.

Number of Awards:  The University generally rewards 50 scholarships for each year.

Target group: Global students.

Scholarship value/inclusions: The Global Undergraduate scholarship offers one of the following settlement:

• a one off $10,000 fee reduction from tuition fees in the 1st year of an undergraduate degree; or

• a 50% reduction from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree; or

• a 100% reduction from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility: To be considered for a fee reduction scholarship you must:

• To be a resident of a country other than Australia and New Zealand and not a permanent citizen of Australia;

• To  have received an unconditional propose for an undergraduate course;

• To have achieved outstanding final year school results, such as:     

• – 4 A-grades in the GCE A Levels
• – an ATAR of 99.9 in the Australian Year 12 program,
• – overall 98% in an approved Foundation program
• – an Global Baccalaureate (IB) score of 44;

• not have  formerly undertaken any tertiary studies (apart from expansion studies completed as part of a year 12 program);

Application instructions: You do not require submit an application for this scholarship. All qualified students who have received an unconditional propose for admission to an undergraduate degree will automatically be measured.  

There are 5 selection rounds with a designated number of scholarships presented for every round:

• • November, December and January for students starting in Semester 1 or 2
• • April and May for students starting in Semester 2
