Brief description: The Microsoft Research
Women’s Scholarship offers funding to a select list of academic universities
that will every award a US$20,000 fellowship to one woman who is interested in
pursuing a PhD and in need of financial assistance.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration: The scholarship amount is US$20,000 for the 2016–2017 academic
year. Of that amount, $18,000 will be applied toward tuition costs and $2,000
will cover travel expenses to a conference in the scholarship recipient’s field
of study.
The fellowship is honored
to recipients for 1 academic year only and is not existing for extension or
renewal.
Eligibility: The Microsoft Research
Women’s Scholarships is appropriate to students entering or enrolled in a PhD
program at one of the participating universities for the 2016–2017 academic
year.

universities and are interested in applying to receive the Microsoft Research
Women’s Scholarships, contact the department chair in your field of study for
information about the scholarship’s application, review, and selection process
as well as the scholarships schedule for the 2016–2017 academic year. Closing
