Description:

The Microsoft Research Women’s Fellowship gives funding to a select list of academic universities that will every award a US$20,000 fellowship to each woman who is interested in pursuing a PhD and in need of financial assistance.

The following USA universities are participants in the Microsoft Research Women’s Fellowship in the 2016–2017 academic year:

v  University of Texas at Austin

v  University of Washington

v  Carnegie Mellon University

v  Princeton University

v  Stanford University

v  Cornell University

v  Georgia Institute of Technology

v  University of California at Berkeley

v  University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign

v  Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Level/Field of study:

PhD Programme in each field of study offered at the participating Universities.

Target group:

Female.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

The scholarship amount is US$20,000 for the 2016–2017 academic year. Of that amount, $18,000 will be applied toward tuition costs and $2,000 will cover travel expenses to a conference in the fellowship recipient’s group of study.

The fellowship is awarded to recipients for one academic year only and is not available for extension or renewal.

One from all participating University.

Eligibility:

The Microsoft Research Women’s Fellowship is preferable to students joining or enrolled in a PhD program at one of the participating universities for the 2016–2017 academic year.
