Brief description: The International Leaders Scholarship is for incoming graduate students (master’s and doctoral) at the George Washington University who will homecoming to their nations of origin to submit an application expertise learned through their formal education at the George Washington. Scholarship value/duration: The reward will cover up to 18 credit hours. The grantee is to offer assets from other sources for books, living, and other expenses, and must offer certification of this support.
A Scholarship is renewable for each year for a cumulative maximum of 3 years for Master’s applicants and up to 5 years for doctoral applicant.
Eligibility: Students holding or proposing to submit an application for an F-1 visa  and who are from the following countries or regions: China (PRC), Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Laos, Latin America, The Caribbean, Mongolia, Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S.S.R. Successor States, Vietnam, are eligible to submit an application.
This Scholarship is for students who have not studied or worked in the U.S. or other countries sidewise from their home country. Please note that permanent residents, local aliens and U.S. Nations are not qualified for this Scholarship. Candidates must have an F-1 (J-1 visa for Fulbright candidates only), no exceptions.
Scholarships are presented to highly qualified incoming George Washington full-time graduate degree program seeking students who have gained admission to the University and whose program is on the chief Foggy Bottom Campus.
As part of the admissions procedure, candidates must have passed the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600 on the paper-based exam or 100 on the internet based exam, or an IELTS overall band score of 7.5 (with no single band below 6.0).
Application instructions: Students essential to submit an application for admission separately through the online process. No Scholarship candidates will be measured who have not finished the admissions application, including payment of their application fee.

The Microsoft Research Women’s Fellowship gives funding to a select list of academic universities that will every award a US$20,000 fellowship to each woman who is interested in pursuing a PhD and in need of financial assistance.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:
The scholarship amount is US$20,000 for the 2016–2017 academic year. Of that amount, $18,000 will be applied toward tuition costs and $2,000 will cover travel expenses to a conference in the fellowship recipient’s group of study.
The fellowship is awarded to recipients for one academic year only and is not available for extension or renewal.
