Swedish Institution International Study Scholarships

Swedish Institute Scholarships

Scholarship description: The Swedish Institution Study Scholarships (SISS) are rewarded to students from preferred countries for permanent master’s stage studies in Sweden opening in the Autumn semester in 2018.
Host Universities/Institutions: Swedish Higher Education Organizations and Swedish Universities
Number of Scholarships: An expected 180 scholarships will be presented.
Target group: Students from SISS-eligible countries:
Group 1: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina-Faso, Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Group 2: Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran and Vietnam
Group 3: Candidates with citizenships from countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients other than the above mentioned and those countries included in other SI scholarship programme.
Special scheme: South Africa
Scholarship value/inclusions/duration: The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses of SEK 9,000 for every month, insurance, and a 1st time travel allowance of SEK 15,000 (only for scholarship holders from countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients). There are no supplementary allowances for family members.
The scholarship is planned for full-time 1 year or 2 year master’s programmes, and is only awarded for programmes opening in the autumn semester. The scholarship is approved for 1 academic year (2 semesters) at a time. It will be extended for programmes longer than two semesters, provided that the student has passed his/her courses/credits.
Eligibility: Candidates must be from an eligible country and have at least 3,000 hours of experience from full-time/part-time service, charitable work, paid/unpaid internship, and/or position of confidence. You must have demonstrated leadership skill from employment, voluntary work, and/or internship after high school studies.
You must be compulsory to pay tuition fees to the universities, have followed the steps of university admission, and will be admitted to one of the appropriate master’s programmes by 6 April 2018.

American University Global Scholarship

It is renewable for a full of 4 years of undergraduate study, based on continuous satisfactory academic performance.
Eligibility: Partiality will be certain to:

The program is for high-achieving students with strong oral and written communication skills, who want to pursue a double main (a combination of two programs resulting in a unique degree) in the humanities, the social sciences, languages and specialized fields.

Scholarship value/duration:
The top three World Scholars will accept a tuition waiver of up to $20,000. Those with a Grade Point regular of 80% or above will be appropriate for scholarships up to $2500. Subject to agreeable progress, the awards are acceptable for up to three years.
As a York World Scholarship applicant, you will also be robotically measured for the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies International Student Entrance Scholar. Qualified candidates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) between 90% and 94.9% will accept $2,000; candidates with a GPA of 95% or higher will receive $3000.

Application instructions:
International candidate can apply through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) (if they are attracted in submitting to other Ontario Universities) OR they can bring into play the York online application (if they are concerned in submitting to York only). After submitting the OUAC application, two statements of concentration are required:
a. A declaration of 400 words describing the double major combination you have chosen and why.
b. A declaration of 200 words explaining who you envision yourself to be in the next five years.
The OUAC application and both statements are due no later than 20 April 2016.
