description: The DAAD Masters Scholarships for Public Policy and Good
Governance Programme suggested very good graduates from upward countries the
chance to gain a Master’s degree in disciplines that are of special
relevance for the social, political and economic development of their home
country at German institutions of higher education.

Target
group: The
scholarship format is release to applicants from Africa, Latin America,
North/Central America, South Asia, Southeast Asia as well as from countries in
the Middle East. See list of eligible countries.
Scholarship
value/inclusions: DAAD scholarship owners are exempt from tuition fees.
DAAD pays a monthly scholarship fee of presently €750. The scholarship also contains
contributions to health insurance in Germany.
In addition, DAAD awards a proper travel
allowance and a study and research subsidy as well as rent subsidies and/or
allowances for spouses and/or children where appropriate.
Eligibility: The scholarship goals
very well experienced graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or
equivalent) who in the future wish for to keenly donate to the social and
economic development of their home countries. The scholarships are presented
both for young graduates without professional experience and for mid-career
professionals.
The major DAAD criteria for selection are:
the study results, knowledge of English (and German), political and social appointment,
a convincing explanation of the subject-related and individual inspiration for
the study scheme in Germany and the projected advantage after the come back to
the home country.
The university degree should have been
obtained during the 6 years before the application for the scholarship. Candidates
cannot be measured if they have been in Germany for more than 15 months at the
time of application.
Every Master courses have further supplementary
necessities that must be fulfilled by the candidates at any case.
Application
instructions: Please submit your applications for the preferred Master
courses and for the DAAD scholarship to the relevant universities only (not to
DAAD). Please fill in the DAAD
application form by indicating your preferred precedence of study
courses. The application time at all 8 universities is from 1 June – 31 July 2016.
