Brief description:- Planned to arrange the
next generation of worldwide leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is the first
scholarship produced to act in response to the geopolitical landscape of the
21st Century. Enrolling the inaugural class in 2016, the program will provide
the world’s best and brightest students the chance to develop their guidance
skills and professional networks through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua
University in Beijing – one of China’s most high-status universities.

Level/Fields of study:- Master’s Degree Programme in one of the
following disciplines: Public Policy, Economic and Business, worldwide
Studies.
Number of Awards:- The class that start
in summer 2017 will consist of 125 scholars, and the program will develop to take
in up to 200 students in upcoming years. About 45% of the first class will
come from the United States, 20% from China, and 35% from the rest of the
world.
Target group:- All nationalities.
Scholarship value/inclusions:- The scholarship covers tuition and fees, accomodation, travel to
and from Beijing at the opening and finish of the academic year, an in-country
study tour, mandatory course books and supply, lenovo laptop and smartphone,
health insurance, and a modest personal stipend.
Eligibility:- Undergraduate
degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its
equivalent. Applicants who are presently
enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to effectively
complete all degree requirements by 1 August 2017 before orientation starts.
There are no requirements for a definite field of undergraduate study; all
fields are welcome, but it will be essential for applicants, regardless of
undergraduate major, to articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholars
will assist enlarge their guidance potential within their field.
Age Requirement:
Applicants must be at
least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of 1 August 2017.
English language proficiency:
Candidates must
demonstrate strong English language skills, as all teaching will be conducted
in English. If the candidate’s local language is not English, official English
proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application. Acceptable test
options are:
- • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT)
- • Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL iBT)
- • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
This condition is waived
for candidates who graduated from an undergraduate organization where the principal
language of instruction was English for at least three years of the candidate’s
educational program.

Application instructions:- 2017/2018 Applications are presently open for students
from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao. Candidates for students
from another countries will open on 15 April 2016.
To submit, you must fill
up an online application form and submit compulsory documents by the closing
date. Candidates who hold
passports from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao can
submit online from 23 March to 15 June 2016. Candidates
holding a passport from any other country, can apply from 15
April to 15 September 2016.
