Brief description: The University of Bradford Worldwide Development Scholarships (formerly known as Countries in Crisis Scholarships) are planned to assist students in financial hardship due to the fact that they are domiciled in a country that is in crisis as a result of the political condition, war, natural disaster etc.

Field(s) of study: Every full-time Master’s Programme (except MBA) presented at University of Bradford.
Target group: Students from the following list of countries are attracted to submit an application for these scholarships. However in extreme circumstances applications from students from other countries will be considered by the panel.
Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Lebanon,Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Pakistan*, Russia (North Caucasus), Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Syrian Arab Republic, United Republic of Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
*.Students from Pakistan will be measured under the Bestway Foundation Scholarship Scheme.
Scholarship value/inclusions: Every scholarship is worth approximately £25,000. The scholarship will cover full tuition fees and accommodation in The Green plus £4,200 per year living costs to be paid in three instalments – October, January and April.
Eligibility: You do not require to meet the minimum English requirements to be capable to submit an application for the scholarship. You can take an IELTS or other English test if you are awarded the scholarship. However, you must already meet the minimum academic entry requirements for your selected course to be capable to submit an application for the scholarship.
To be measured for a place on one of the Master’s courses, you will need to have achieved (or be about to achieve) the minimum level of degree qualification specified for your country (see authorized website).
Application instructions: Applications will release 18 April 2016 and application forms will only be available at the authorized website by then.
You no longer need to have protected a propose to study at Bradford before you submit an application for this scholarship. However you must already have completed your undergraduate degree and know your results to be capable to submit an application. To submit an application, you must submit the online application form by 13 May 2016.

 Brief Description: The University of Amsterdam aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. Excellent students from outer the European Economic Area can submit an application for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

Field(s) of study: Appropriate Masters Degree programme presented by the following Faculties:
Number of Scholarships: Not specified.
Target group: International students from outside the EU/European Economic Area.
Scholarship value/inclusions: Depending on the faculty, the scholarship can vary between $2,000 – $24,000.  The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship can at times be supplemented with the Holland Scholarship, of which the University of Amsterdam is a participating part.

Eligibility: Candidates wishing to be included in the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship programme must meet up the following requirements:
  • •  Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be suitable for support under the Dutch method of study grants and loans.
  • • Be fully admitted to a degree programme at the University of Amsterdam which is registered at the Central Register of Higher Education Programmes.
  • •  Be admitted to a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at the University of Amsterdam for the first time.
  • •  Be capable to observe with Dutch visa policy.
  • • Be enrolled at the UvA as full-time student for the academic year and the programme for which the scholarship is awarded.
  • •  The candidate should not accept a full coverage scholarship for the same time of study as the AMS scholarship.
  • •  Scholarship extension for successive year(s) of study depends upon acceptable study improvement.
