Brief description: A number of Oxford colleges propose Reach Oxford Scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) to students from developing countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because comparable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

Target group: Candidates must be nationals of countries who accept official development assistance from the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).  See the official website for the complete list of suitable countries.
Scholarship value/inclusions: Tuition fees and college fees, a grant for living expenses and one return air cost for each year. The scholarship length is 3 or 4 years depending on course length.
Eligibility: This scheme is only appropriate for applicants who have received a propose and who are of the highest academic capability. Financial need and social commitment are also major criteria for selection. Candidates should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following their studies. Priority will be specified to students who have not studied at undergraduate level before.
Application instructions: To be measured for the scholarship, you must have made an application to the University through UCAS by 15 October 2016 and been successful in gaining a place. You will then need to complete a separate scholarship application form. Applications must be submitted by 12 noon (UK time) on Friday 19 February 2016.
