Eligibility: Candidates wishing to be included in the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship programme must meet up the following requirements:

• Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be suitable for support under the Dutch method of study grants and loans.
• Be fully admitted to a degree programme at the University of Amsterdam which is registered at the Central Register of Higher Education Programmes.
• Be admitted to a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at the University of Amsterdam for the first time.
• Be capable to observe with Dutch visa policy.
• Be enrolled at the UvA as full-time student for the academic year and the programme for which the scholarship is awarded.
• The candidate should not accept a full coverage scholarship for the same time of study as the AMS scholarship.
• Scholarship extension for successive year(s) of study depends upon acceptable study improvement.

Scholarship value/duration: The NZIDRS covers the following for a TOTAL of three years: university tuition fees and related student levies, an annual living earnings of NZ$25,000 (tax-free), and medical insurance coverage up to NZ$600 per annum.

Eligibility: You should meet ALL five eligibility criteria. These criteria are non-exchangeable.

You have to hold at least grade equivalent to a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale OR an A to A+ average in your most recent or highest post graduate tertiary qualification.
You must have a confirmed, non-restricted offer of place for a (direct-start) PhD programme at a New Zealand university.
If you have commenced your PhD studies in New Zealand, your begining date must be after 1 July 2015.
You ought to conduct your PhD study in New Zealand (not from a distance)
You must not hold citizenship or PR status in New Zealand or Australia.

Qualified candidates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) between 90% and 94.9% will accept $2,000; candidates with a GPA of 95% or higher will receive $3000.
